The
town of Cambria lies on Californias central
coast, midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
It is often described as the jewel of the California
coast. This picturesque town is situated five
miles south of the
historic Hearst Castle and is nestled in the southern
most stand of Monterey Pines. The Cambria/San Simeon
area is considered the gateway to the Big Sur Coast
and offers a comfortable lifestyle close to the Pacific
Ocean. San Luis Obispo, with its famous Thursday night
farmers market and convenient airport, is less
than an hour away from Cambria. To the east are 10,000
plus acres of vineyards and several wineries. The
Paso Robles wine region is also just minutes away.

The
county of San Luis Obispo, with its rigid environmental
regulations, has protected the Monterey Pines and
California Oaks to create a truly unique and lovely
seaside environment.
More
than 35 years ago, the Leimert Company was fortunate
to acquire more than 550 acres of Cambria property
formerly known as the Smithers Ranch. The original
ranch was one of the early cattle grazing and dairy
operations active in the first part of this century.
Many of the ranches in the region date back to the
days of the Spanish dons. With careful and expert
care, the Leimert Company has created one of the most
sought after residential areas on the California coast.
Large lots and sensible restrictions have encouraged
purchasers to construct many homes that have won high
praise from discerning seekers of a truly unique lifestyle.
